The Town of Vestal Consolidated Water Department #1, under the Town Water & Wastewater Department, provides water for about 20,950 residents living in the Vestal area, New York. Established in 1823, the Vestal Consolidated Water Department #1 collects supply from a groundwater source, six groundwater wells situated along the south bank of the Susquehanna River. In addition to the well supply, the Town has a connection agreement with the Binghamton to supplement the needs in eastern Vestal and the Village of Johnson for emergency needs.
