Village of Cornwall-On-Hudson Water is a public community water system under the local government that provides water to about 9,700 residents living in Cornwall-On-Hudson, a riverfront village in the town of Cornwall, Orange County, New York. Founded in 1895, the Village of Cornwall-On-Hudson Water System currently obtains its surface water supply from a combination of the source water from the New York City Catskill Aqueduct system, our reservoir system in Black Rock Forest, and our Taylor Road wellfield in the Mountainville neighborhood of the Town of Cornwall. Together, they cover more than 100 acres of Village watershed land and have the capacity to provide 3.9 million gallons of water per day to our neighborhood. Additionally, all water is first treated in any of the three treatment facility before it is distributed to its consumer.
