West Iredell Water Corporation purchases water from the City of Statesville and Energy United Water, which in turn buys from the City of Newton. The source water originates from the City Lake, Jacob Fork River, Lake Lookout Shoals, and the South Yadkin River, all of which have moderate to high susceptibility to contaminants, and the water is disinfected with chlorine to control microbial growth.
