The Town of Yorktown Water supplies water to about 6,200 residents in the Yorktown area of Delaware County, Indiana. Yorktown Water Department collects water from four wells drilled into Silurian and Ordovician bedrock aquifers. The groundwater wells - Well #1 and #2 located at Broadway, Well #3 at Russ Street, and Well #4 on Nebo Road, are disinfected. Additionally, fluoride is added to the water to promote strong teeth.
