Fern Bluff Municipal Utility District is a local water services operating corporate entity created by an order of the Texas Water Commission under the Water and Wastewater Services Department that provides water to about 5,682 residents living in Austin, Texas. Founded in 1986, the Fern Bluff Municipal Utility District System currently purchases its supply from the City of Round Rock, a surface water source that draws from Lake Georgetown and, when needed, water from Lake Stillhouse Hollow, with supplementary groundwater sources drilling into the Edwards Aquifer underneath the area.
