The City of North Vernon Water supplies water to about 6,500 residents in the North Vernon area of Jennings County, Indiana. North Vernon Water Department collects water from surface water sources in the Muscatatuck River and augments it with Brush Creek Reservoir. The water contains a fluoride additive, which promotes strong teeth, and is disinfected with chlorine to prevent microbial growth.
