The Black Hawk Water, a public community water system under the City Water Department, provides water for about 15,167 residents living in the area of Black Hawk, Colorado, a home rule municipality located in Gilpin County. Established in 1886, the Black Hawk City Water System currently obtains its supply from a blend of sources, primarily surface water sources from North Clear and Clear Creeks, and groundwater under the direct influence of surface water (GWUDI) sources from ten wells along the Four Mile Gulch.
