The City and County of Broomfield Water, under the City and County Department of Public Works, provides water for about 93,051 residents living in the area of Broomfield, Colorado. Established in 1961, the City and County of Broomfield Water currently obtains its supply from treated water purchased from Denver Water (Moffat and South Platte River), and raw water from Colorado and Fraser Rivers supplied to Broomfield’s Water Treatment Plant by the Colorado-Big Thompson (C-BT) Project and Windy Gap Project under the management of Northern Water.
