The Boone County Water District - Rural Water System provides water for about 66,300 residents living in the area of Burlington City, Kentucky. Established in 1975, the Boone County Water & Sewer District currently obtains its supply via purchase from the Boone Florence Water Commission (BFWC)/Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW), which is treated surface water from the Ohio River.
