Bracken County Water District, a public community water system under the local government, provides water to about 6,456 residents living in Brooksville, in Bracken County, Kentucky. Founded in 1960, Bracken County Water District System currently purchases its supply from two sources: Augusta Regional Water Treatment Plant, groundwater sources, primarily wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area, and the Western Mason Water District, which draws groundwater from wellfields located within the limits of Dover City that are pumped from the Ohio River alluvium, an unconfined aquifer.
