Campton Waterworks, a public community water system under the local government, provides water to about 6,600 residents living in Campton, Wolfe County, Kentucky. Founded in 1870, Campton Waterworks System currently obtains its main surface water supply from Wolfe Lake, located along North Washington Street and the Mountain Parkway, and from Campton Lake. Additionally, the Valeria area is being serviced by the Cave Run Water Commission, a surface water source treated by Frenchburg Water Company drawn from Cave Run Lake.
