The Grand Junction City Water provides water for about 26,000 living in the Grand Junction area, Colorado. Established in 1882, the Grand Junction City Water collects water from the Kannah Creek watershed with Grand Mesa water as its source. Principal streams and storage areas in the watershed are Kannah Creek, North Fork of Kannah Creek, Brandon Ditch, Juniata Reservoir and Purdy Mesa Reservoir. The City also retains emergency water rights from both the Clifton Water District and Ute Water Conservancy District.
