The Columbia/Adair Utilities District (CAUD) provides water for about 22,113 living in the Columbia area, Kentucky. Established in 1801, the Columbia/Adair Utilities District collects water from a surface water source, the Green River Lake Adair County. CAUD also purchase water from two sources: (1) Campbellsville Water and Sewer System ( from the Green River, or on a short term emergency basis from the City Lake) and (2) Jamestown Municipal Water Works (from Greasy Creek Cove of nearby Lake Cumberland).
