Cottonwood Water & Sanitation District (CWSD), a public community water system classified as a quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of Colorado managed by Mulhern MRE Inc. since 1991, provides water to about 10,867 residents living in Cottonwood, a neighborhood in the Town of Parker, Colorado. Founded in 1981, Cottonwood Water & Sanitation District System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily five wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area, and the other is a purchased Joint Water Purification Plant (JWPP) sourced from five wells.
