The Meridian Metropolitan District is a quasi-municipal corporation that provides water for about 15,500 residents living in Englewood, a home rule municipality in Arapahoe County, Colorado. Established in 1980, the Meridian Metropolitan System’s groundwater supplies are derived from wells drilled in the Denver Basin aquifer system underlying the service area including the Dawson, Denver, Arapahoe, and Laramie-Fox Hills formations.
