Founded in 1945, the North Washington Street Water And Sanitation District draw water from the South Platte River and its tributaries, the streams that feed Dillon Reservoir, and the creeks and canals above the Fraser River. The District also utilizes water from Antero, Eleven Mile Canyon, Cheesman, Dillon, and Gross Reservoirs.
