RCH Water Supply Corporation, a public community water system under local government, provides water to about 5,682 residents living in Rockwall, Texas. Founded in 2009, RCH Water Supply Corporation System currently purchases its supply from the City of Rockwall, which also purchases from the North Texas Municipal Water District, a treated surface water source obtained from among five sources: Lavon Lake, along the East Fork of the Trinity River; Lake Texoma, located on the Oklahoma and Texas border; Jim Chapman Lake, also known as the Cooper Lake, located on the south portion of the Sulpher River; Lake Tawakoni, located on the Sabine River; and the East Fork Water Reuse Project, located on the Lower East Fork of the Trinity River.
