Mount Sterling has multiple water providers: Mt Sterling Water and Judy Water. This page provides information about Judy Water.

The Judy Water Association supplies water to about 5,539 residents in the Mt. Sterling area. Founded in 1992, Judy Water Association purchases water from the Kentucky American Water Company (KAWC) and the Mt. Sterling Water & Sewer Commission (MSWSC). While the KAWC treats surface water from the Kentucky River, the MSWSC draws from Slate Creek and Greenbrier Reservoir. The water is fluoridated to promote strong teeth and disinfected with chloramine to control microbial growth.
