The Wheat Ridge Water District provides water for about 20,000 living in the Wheat Ridge area. Established in 1939, the Wheat Ridge Water District collects supply purchased from Denver Water. Denver Water’s sources are South Platte River, Blue River, Williams Fork and Fraser River watersheds, but it also uses water from the South Boulder Creek, Ralston Creek and Bear Creek watersheds.
