The Hardin County Water District No.1 provides water for about 27,033 residents living in the Radcliff area, Kentucky. Established in 1952, the Hardin County Water District No.1 obtains its supply from a combination of surface and groundwater sources in three water treatment plants. The Pirtle Spring Water Treatment Plant uses two surface water sources, the Pirtle Spring and the Head of Rough Spring. The Muldraugh Water Treatment Plant uses 15 deep groundwater wells located on the West Point aquifer near the Ohio River while the Central Water Treatment Plant uses a surface water source near Otter Creek known as McCracken Spring.Radcliff Drinking Water Quality
