The West Laurel Water Association Inc. (WLWA), a rural water utility system operated and maintained by the Wood Creek Water District (WCWD), provides water for about 14,425 residents living in the area of London, a home rule-class city in Laurel County, Kentucky. Established in 1970, the West Laurel Water System currently obtains its supply via purchase from WCWD, which uses water from surface water sources including, Elk Pond Creek, Little Laurel River, Little Rockcastle River, and Sinking Creek.
