The East Alabama Water Sewer & Fire Protection District provides water for about 18,000 people living in the Valley area, Chambers County, Alabama. The East Alabama Water Sewer & Fire Protection District purchases treated water from the Chattahoochee Valley Water Supply District (CVWSD), which draws water from the Chattahoochee River. The CVWSD uses chlorination, oxidation, chemical coagulation, fluoridation, pH adjustment, and filtration techniques to treat surface water. The East Alabama Water Sewer & Fire Protection District also purchases water from Randolph County Water Authority to serve the Northern part of the County and has as-needed connections with the Beulah Utilities District and the City of West Point Georgia.
