The City of Boaz Water & Sewer Board provides water for about 14,502 people living in the Boaz area, Marshall County, Alabama. Established in 1897, the Boaz Water & Sewer Board purchases water from the Municipal Utilities Board of Albertville. The water is sourced from Short Creek, which originates around 2 miles southeast of Highway 227 near Lake Guntersville State Park, and runs to the Tennessee River. The water is pumped to the Albertville Water Treatment Plant to be treated.
