Boaz has multiple water providers: Boaz Water Board and Sardis City Water Board. This page provides information about Sardis City Water Board.

The Sardis City Water & Sewer Board provides water services to about 5,088 residents in the Boaz area of Etowah County, Alabama. Founded in 1963, the Sardis City Water Department buys water from Boaz Water, which also purchases water from MUB of Albertville. The Albertville Water Treatment Plant receives water from Short Creek, a surface water source near Lake Guntersville State Park, about 2 miles southeast of Highway 227, that flows to the Tennessee River. Chlorine is added as a disinfectant to kill bacteria.
