The Holtville Water System, Inc. supplies water to about 8,697 residents living in the Deatsville area of Elmore County. Founded in 1972, the Holtville Water Department's primary water source is purchased treated water from Five Star Water Supply, which draws from Lake Jordan. The System receives additional supplies from the City of Wetumpka, Elmore Water, and the Alabama Department of Corrections and operates six storage tanks with a total capacity of about 1.6 million gallons.
