The North Dallas Water Authority supplies water to about 8,838 residents in the Selma area in Dallas County. The North Dallas Water Authority obtains water from four groundwater wells pumping from Coker and Gordo Aquifers. The water undergoes treatment processes such as chlorination, manganese and iron sequestration, corrosion control, and pH adjustment and is stored in seven storage reservoirs with a capacity of 1.7 million gallons.
