The Orange Beach Water, Sewer, & Fire Protection Authority, a public corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Alabama, to provide water, sewer, and fire protection services for about 17,796 residents living in Orange Beach, located along the Gulf of Mexico, Alabama. Established in 1968, the Orange Beach Water, Sewer, & Fire Protection Authority System currently obtains its supply from sources pumped from eight wells; two are located on the island and six wells are located north of the canal.
