Russellville Water & Sewer Board provides water for about 16,650 people living in the Russellville area of Franklin County. Russellville Water Board has one groundwater source and two surface water sources. The groundwater well draws water from Bangor Formation Aquifer. The primary surface water source draws water from Lake Elliott, and the backup surface water source is located at the Cedar Creek Reservoir. The treatment process includes disinfection, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, and adding fluoride for dental protection.
