The City of Tallassee Water supplies water to about 7,410 residents living in the Tallassee area of Elmore County, Alabama. Tallassee Water Department receives water from the Tallapoosa River and manages four storage tanks with a combined capacity of about 2.2 million gallons. The water undergoes flocculation, pressure sand filtration, pH control, fluoridation, disinfection, and the addition of chlorine dioxide and copper sulfate for improved taste and odor control.
