Wattsville Water Authority, a public community water system under the five-member Board appointed by the St. Clair County Commission, provides water to about 5,511 residents living in Wattsville, St. Clair County, Alabama. Founded in 1968, the Wattsville Water Authority System currently obtains its supply from two groundwater sources: primarily three wells owned by the system that drill into the Ft. Payne/Tuscumbia Aquifer underneath the area, and purchased from Cook Springs Water Authority, which provides water purchased from Odenville Utility Board that draws water from three wells owned by the system that drill into the Fort Payne Cert., Tuscumbia Limestone Aquifer, and Bangor Limestone Hartselle Sandstone Aquifer underneath the area, plus water purchased from Coosa Valley Water Treatment Plant.
