The North Baldwin Utilities, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 28,713 residents living in Bay Minette, a city in and the county seat of Baldwin County, Alabama. Established in 1945, the North Baldwin Utilities System currently obtains its supply from nine public water supply wells and five aquifers namely: Bay Minette Middle Aquifer, which supplies Wells 2, 3, 4 & 5, Bay Minette Lower Aquifer, which supplies Wells 5 & 6, Miocene Undifferentiated Aquifer, that supplies Wells 9A & 9B, Stapleton 275-foot Aquifer that supplies Well 12, and finally Miocene Pliocene Aquifer that supplies Well 10.
