The City of Troy Water, under the City Utilities Department, provides water for about 19,665 residents living in the Troy area, Alabama. Established in 1838, the City of Troy collects its supply from a groundwater source, six groundwater wells producing from the Ripley and Tuscaloosa aquifers.
