The water is pumped to the Tuscumbia Water Treatment Plant, where it begins the treatment process: coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, fluoridation, and chlorination. Then water is distributed through more than 70 miles of water mains. The Water Treatment Plant has a capacity of 4 million gallons per day. Tuscumbia Water Works has five storage tanks that can store up to 1,500,000 gallons.
