Wedowee has multiple water providers: Randolph County Water Authority and Wedowee Utilities. This page provides information about Wedowee Utilities.

The Wedowee Water, Sewer, & Gas Board supplies water to about 7,782 residents living in the Wedowee area of Alabama. The Wedowee Water Department pumps water from a surface water source nearby the Little Tallapoosa River and also buys from the Randolph County Water Authority. The Randolph water is a blend of purchased water from the Cleburne County Water Authority, the Heard County Water Authority, and the Utilities Board of Roanoke. The water contains some chlorine and fluoride additives, which are added for disinfection and strong teeth promotion.
